About The Black Tie Optional Show

The Black Tie Optional Show is a polished 90-minute concert experience built around the music of Michael Bublé and the Great American Songbook that inspired his career. Fronted by charismatic lead vocalist Kerst J. Lehmann and backed by a 7-piece live band, the show moves effortlessly from big-band swing to intimate ballads.

Kerst J. Lehmann and 8-piece band on stage

This isn't your typical crooner band. It's a genuine performance: dynamic arrangements, real horns, and a frontman who steps off the stage frequently, turning the crowd into part of the act. From the first downbeat the band brings the swagger of a Vegas big band; moments later the lights drop and a single ballad holds the audience in complete stillness. That contrast, the build and the hush, is the heart of the show.

A note on Kerst: Raised in Germany, Kerst J. Lehmann grew up surrounded by music. His grandparents earned a lifelong living on stage as operetta singers and remain his greatest inspiration. Carrying his family legacy overseas, he moved to Florida in his early twenties. He's living his American Dream every time he steps on stage, in front of the people that enjoy organic sounds as much as he does.
